Reducing Environmental Impact

Minimizing the production impact on the environment is one of Guardini’s primary goals.

Through initiatives such as reducing energy consumption in production processes and self-producing renewable energy, we constantly work to adopt planet-friendly solutions.

Low-Impact Energy Solutions

Guardini has implemented low-impact energy construction solutions to improve the efficiency of production processes and facilities.

This approach, combined with projects aimed at waste recovery and a production model focused on the circular economy, helps limit waste while ensuring energy efficiency and responsible resource management.

Our production process has already achieved a reduced environmental impact, but we look to the future with even more ambitious goals.

Energy Optimization

Thanks to the data collected, we have developed a consumption model and energy performance indicators (EnPI) enabling us to identify areas for improvement. Procedures for shutting down production lines and systems, combined with optimizing compressed air circuits, have been our main focus.

Energy Diagnosis and Monitoring

To optimize energy consumption and reduce waste, Guardini has implemented an Energy Management System (EMS). This system allows us to analyze consumption in real-time, track identified KPIs, and quickly identify inefficiencies, addressing them with targeted solutions.

Our actions have led to a 7.3% reduction in electricity consumption per unit produced.

Waste Management

Recovery and Reuse

Guardini promotes a circular economy model, recovering 100% of steel scraps and offcuts, as well as wooden pallets. These materials are reintroduced into other sectors, turning waste into valuable resources.

We now recover 100% of silicon-coated paper, reducing the amount of non-recyclable waste sent for traditional disposal.

Awareness and Goals

The internal campaign Make a Difference raises staff awareness of virtuous environmental practices, aiming to significantly reduce non-recyclable waste. Additionally, we collaborate with specialized partners to ensure greater traceability in the waste disposal chain for paper and plastic.

Overall, 99.77% of total waste was recycled.
