57 METHODOLOGICAL NOTE This document is the first Sustainability Report from Guardini S.p.A. (referred to as 'Guardini' throughout the document). The report contains information on economic, environmental and social issues, which is designed to assist with understanding the business and its impact, and demonstrates the start of the virtuous journey of integrating sustainability drivers within the company's business model. The document, prepared in accordance with GRI Standards, is drawn up on a voluntary basis, as Guardini does not fall under the scope of Legislative Decree 254/2016, which makes non-financial reporting mandatory. To ensure that the content is suitable, the core concepts of impact, stakeholder, materiality and due diligence have been taken into account, as well as the GRI reporting principles for defining report quality: comparability, accuracy, completeness, sustainability context, timeliness, balance between positive and negative aspects, accuracy, clarity. The selected performance indicators have been identified according to how they represent the specific areas of sustainability identified as being material, in line with the company's business and sustainability context. These indicators have been selected on the basis of an analysis of their relevance, as described in the chapter “Commitment to the 2030 Agenda: Stakeholders, Material Issues and SDGs” through the involvement of company managers and by assessing stakeholder interests. The Sustainability Report was submitted to the Managing Directors for evaluation. In order to ensure that the information reported is as reliable as possible, preference was given to using directly measurable quantities and data calculated specifically on the basis of the records available in the accounting system and other information systems; for estimates, the method used to quantify them is indicated. The figures in this document refer to the financial year 2022 (1 January to 31 December). In order to ensure that the indicators deemed to be most significant to the reader are comparable over time and to give the reader the opportunity of comparing performance, the current values have been compared, through the use of graphs and tables, with the results of the two previous financial years. The reporting scope of qualitative and quantitative data and information refers to the performance of Guardini S.p.A. at its head office (Via Cravero 9 - Volpiano, Turin) The Sustainability Report is available to the public on the company’s corporate website, www.guardini.com.
