54 2022 Sustainability Report The Actions4more programme is based on 4 pillars: PEOPLE: we aim to cultivate and roll out an enduring corporate culture based on respect, responsibility and the drive for continuous improvement, which is fundamental for achieving the shared goals that can only be attained if every individual contributes. We live these issues every day, a testament to our commitment, the identity of which is growing inside and outside the company, imbued with 'human' values. The people feel involved, motivated and more aware of the corporate values, becoming promoters of ethical and responsible behaviour, which they consciously adopt and interpret so that they become a true way of life. PRODUCT: the Guardini brand, which has always been an expression of quality, know-how and Made in Italy, is now synonymous with sustainability, a necessary and shared choice along the entire production chain. Thanks to the level of expertise we have gained over the years, we are able to produce baking moulds with the optimised thickness, guaranteeing outstanding performance, optimising the amount of material used and reducing cooking times, with the ensuing energy savings. This topic constitutes the cornerstone of our communications through the concept of “lightness”, a feeling of joyful time shared together in the kitchen, as well as the functional characteristic of the moulds designed to minimise its impact during use in line with the principles of sustainability. PROCESS: in contrast to the undoubted risks that change brings, every change situation can also represent an opportunity for positive renewal; the important thing is to identify the right strategies to be able to lead it. By increasing the level of awareness of the direct and indirect impact of our activities, we have been able to identify critical processes and areas for improvement along the entire value chain, defining guidelines for integrating existing business management systems and developing a circular economy and energy efficiency projects aimed at reducing climate-changing emissions. PASSION: we place environmental sustainability and social responsibility at the centre of our corporate strategy, a “just cause” which today can create value through people's sense of belonging and passion. Leadership is not embodied by one individual, it is distributed throughout the organisation, inspiring daily action and responding to everyday challenges by identifying the good of the company with its lasting development.
