2022 Sustainability Report

52 53 PROMOTERS OF CHANGE 2022 Sustainability Report Actions4more: People, Product, Process, Passion During the year, we have created Actions4more, the new development programme that represents a milestone in the sustainability journey undertaken by the company which will guide its strategies through concrete actions and a sincere commitment involving People, Products, Processes and Passion. The programme was presented in February 2023 at Ambiente, Frankfurt fair, the world's number one event dedicated to consumer goods for the home. It will be included in all corporate communication channels, with the aim of involving the main stakeholders and engaging them in a development model capable of generating shared well-being as part of a long-term approach. For us, communication means more than just talking about the functionality or aesthetics of the products, it involves all aspects that represent the real value of the company: accountability about the impacts of production and use, the historical identity of a future-oriented company, and the know-how and strength of the team which make it possible to achieve the goals set. Networking A virtuous supply chain involvement model is the one developed by a long-standing customer, which encourages its partners to comply with the requirements of a responsible procurement system, and assesses the level of development of individual suppliers on sustainability issues. Together with ten other selected partners of the client, we have joined a networking programme with the aim of stimulating dialogue on social and environmental issues, tackling challenges together and working together to bring about positive change. We are also an active member of FIAC (Italian Association of Manufacturers of Household, Table and Similar Items) and since 2020 we have been collaborating on the CAST (Food Contact Safety and Technology) project, which is looking into issues relating to compliance with the MOCA (Materials and Objects in Contact with Food) regulations, through joint work by a variety of stakeholders involved in the food chain, under the scientific responsibility of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS, higher health institute) and with the organisational support of the Istituto Italiano Imballaggio (III, Italian Packaging Institute). The main national industry sector associations (ANIMA - Federation of National Associations of the Mechanical Engineering Industry, Miscellaneous and Related) and international ones (FEC - Federation of European manufacturers of cookware and cutlery), of which we are a member, play an important representative role in relations with public bodies and other social partners and offer a crucial networking opportunity for sharing experiences and developing production and business partnerships. Of particular note is the contribution of our Quality and Integrated Systems Manager, who joined the FEC Federation in the role of Senior Expert. active networking projects 4 Good stories deserve to be told and this is a good story Elena Guardini, CEO Guardini S.p.A.
